Gluten Free Crepes

From a single batter, you can make sweet crepes for sweet fillings, savory crepes for more salty fillings, and kosher for Passover.

 Iris’s Tip 
 Ingredients 

Ingredients for sweet crepe:

4 eggs

2 tablespoons of sugar

4 tablespoons of oil

2 cups potato starch

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

1 1/2 cups of water


Ingredients for savory crepe:

4 eggs

1/2 teaspoon of salt

4 tablespoons of oil

2 cups of potato starch

1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

1 1/2 cups of water

 Directions 

Instructions for sweet crepe :

  1. In a bowl, mix together all of the ingredients. The batter will be runny; that’s ok! Don’t get tempted to add more starch.

  2. Lightly grease a skillet. Pour 1/4 cup of the batter and lift the pan, moving it around so that the batter is spread all over the pan.

  3. After a minute and a half, turn the crepe over and cook for another minute and a half. That's it! It’s ready.

  4. You can fill them with sweet fillings like chocolate spread, chocolate spread, and bananas, sweet cheese, and raisins, etc....

  1. In a bowl, mix together all of the ingredients. The batter will be runny. That’s ok! Don’t get tempted to add more starch.

  2. Lightly grease a skillet.

  3. Pour 1/4 cup of the batter and lift the pan, moving it around so that the batter is spread all over the pan.

  4. After a minute and a half turn the crepe over and cook for another minute and a half. That's it! It’s ready.

  5. You can fill them with savory fillings like cheeses, cheeses and spinach, mushrooms and onions, chicken livers, minced meat, and more.
