Roasting the almonds and walnuts add a fun crunch to every bite
Ingredients
1 cup of oven-roasted walnuts
1 cup of oven-roasted almonds
1 cup of oven-roasted sesame
2 cups of pitted dates
1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon
optional: a pinch of ground ginger and cloves
Directions
Spread the almonds and walnuts on a large baking sheet and roast for 5-10 minutes in a preheated 200 degrees celsius or 400 degrees Fahrenheit oven.
Transfer to a food processor fitted with the S blade a pulse for a little.
Add the pitted dates and blend until a paste-like texture is formed.
Transfer to a bowl add the cinnamon and mix.
With a cookie scoop, scoop the desired amount of mixture and roll with both hands into a truffle.
Place the roasted sesame into a bowl and roll the date truffle in the sesame.
Transfer to a dish with a lid and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. Enjoy
