Ingredients
Ingredients for 17 cream puffs:
2 tablespoons of sugar
4 eggs
1 cup of water
1 cup of cake meal
1 teaspoon of baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup of oil
Ingredients for whipped cream:
Heavy whipping cream or parve whipping cream
2 tablespoons of vanilla instant pudding
3 tablespoons of sugar
50 grams of grated chocolate
Directions
Preheat oven to 190 ° C or 380 ° F,
In a bowl, mix together the cake meal and baking powder.
In a small saucepan, boil the water oil, sugar, and salt. When they come to a boil add the flour and baking powder.
Quickly mix with a wooden spoon. Turn off the flame and continue to stir for another 2 minutes until the dough is dry.
Transfer to a mixer with a flat beater attachment (you can make it by hand if you prefer it) and mix for about 2 minutes until the mixture cools off a little.
Replace the flat beater attachment for a wire whip attachment and add an egg. After the egg is incorporated in the dough add the rest of the eggs one at a time.
Transfer the dough into a piping bag, and pipe the puffs (Watch the video)
On a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake for half an hour ( Don’t open the oven door while baking) . after half an hour Open the oven door slightly and put a wooden spoon and close the oven door so that the oven door is partially open.
In the meantime, prepare the filling:
Whip the whipping cream with the vanilla instant pudding and sugar until the cream reaches stiff peaks. Gently fold in the grated chocolate into the whipping cream.
Cut the puffs and fill them with the whipped cream. Sprinkle over with powdered sugar or chocolate ganache.
