Superb Orange Butter Cookies

These cookies are absolutely superb and so very easy to make.
Iris’s Tip
Ingredients
Ingredients for about 30 cookies:
113 grams of butter (1/2 cup)
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon of orange zest
1 tablespoon of orange juice
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 1/4 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 cup of sugar crystals for coating the cookies
Directions
1. Beat the butter and sugar in the mixer until a puffy mixture is obtained.
2. Add the egg yolks, orange juice, and orange zest and mix until incorporated.
3. Stop the mixer and add the flour, salt, and baking soda and mix until all incorporated.
4. Place a 40x40 cm / 15x15 inches square of plastic wrap on your work surface, and place the dough on top.
5. Shape a log 2 inch in diameter and place it on top of the plastic wrap. Sprinkle the sugar crystals over a log and over the plastic wrap, and roll to coat.
6. Close the plastic wrap and freeze it for about half an hour.
7. Remove the plastic wrap, cut to 1/2 inch slices, and transfer the slices to a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
8. Bake in a 350 degrees Fahrenheit /180 degrees Celsius preheated oven for about 9 minutes.
9. Store in an airtight container for about 3 days and up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Enjoy Iris
