 Ingredients

2 3/4 cups of bread flour

1 teaspoon dry yeast

2 teaspoons salt

1/2 cup of olive oil

3/4 cup of warm water

Olive oil or water for brushing

Various toppings of your choice: sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, za'atar, chili pepper, parmesan cheese

 Directions
  1. In the mixer bowl fitted with a dough hook attachment, mix the flour and yeast for a minute.

  2. Add the salt, oil and water; mix on a slow speed for 6 minutes.

  3. Cover with plastic wrap; proof in a warm place for an hour.

  4. Take the dough out of the bowl and place it on a floured surface.

  5. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces.

Method 1:

1. Roll each piece of dough into a quarter-inch wide strip.

2. Cut the wide strip into long quarter-inch strips.

3. Hold each end of the strip, twist it, and transfer it onto a lined baking sheet.

4. Brush the long strips with water or olive oil and sprinkle over with the topping of your choice: sesame seeds or sunflower seeds, etc. Repeat until done with all of the dough.

Method 2:

1. Dip each ball of dough in a bowl with the topping of your choice (such as sesame seeds); press the dough, and cover with sesame seeds.

2. Transfer to your work surface, and roll, cut, twist and transfer to a baking pan. Brush with a little olive oil.

Bake in a 380 degrees Fahrenheit or 195 degrees Celsius preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
