Tuna Salad Crescent Rolls

Put your favorite tuna salad in a soft and delicious crescent roll. This recipe yields 6 rolls you might want to double up the recipe.
Iris’s Tip
The filling of these crescent rolls can easily be changed to any other filling, such as ground beef, shredded steak, shredded sauteed chicken, and more.
Ingredients
Ingredients for 6 crescent rolls:
1 3/4 cups of bread flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon of dry yeast
2 tablespoons of olive oil
3/4 cup of warm water
1 large egg for egg wash
Ingredients for the tuna salad filling:
Canned solid white albacore tuna
1/2 an onion chopped
Chopped green onion
Chopped red/orange pepper
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
mayonnaise
* add or change the tuna salad to your liking
Directions
Instructions for the tuna salad filling:
Mix all of the tuna salad ingredients, cover, and refrigerate until you are ready to fill your crescent rolls.
Instructions for the crescent rolls:
1. Mix the sugar, yeast, and water and set aside for a few minutes.
2. In the mixer bowl, mix the flour and salt.
3. Add the yeast mixture to the mixer bowl with the dough hook attachment and mix for 5 minutes.
4. Add the oil and mix for 5 more minutes. Be patient as it will take some time for the oil to incorporate into the dough. The dough will be a little sticky that's how it should be.
5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow it to rise for an hour in a warm place.
6. Cut the dough into 6 equal pieces.
6. Form the pieces into balls, cover with a light towel and allow to rest for about 10 minutes.
7. Roll out each ball of dough into a circle, cut strips in the top half of the circle of dough and fill with the tuna on the lower part of the circle closer to you.
8. Roll the part closest to you up and shape to a crescent. ( Watch to the video)
9. Brush the crescent rolls with egg wash and place on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
10. Allow the dough to proof for an hour. (You do not need to cover the rolls as they have egg wash on and won't dry out)
11. Bake at a 350 degrees Fahrenheit /180 degrees celsius oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
